A premiere in Romania,
Financial Education through „serious play”
by using the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method
Thursday evening, about 30 parents and partners of Transylvania College will be engaging in „serious play” during a financial education workshop. This way, they will obtain a deeper understanding with regard to the challenges of managing a teenager’s budget and will be exploring their expenses patterns, having a much more coherent picture of their children’s income and expenses budget.
This workshops have been initiated by Transylvania College in partnership with Business Insight, during the Global Money Week, a Child and Youth Finance International initiative – an annual financial awareness campaign built to inspire children and young people to learn about money matters, livelihoods and entrepreneurship. This year Transylvania College celebrates the 8th edition of Global Money Week.
About LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is one of the most thought-provoking participative leadership tools used in business: from building a business strategy, innovative solutions to complex problems and accelerated change, to fostering diversity, organizational identity or building passionate, 100% engaged teams.
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is a 3D facilitated thinking, communication and problem-solving methodology. It relies on the activation of both sides of the brain and the hands-brain connection. During the creative process new knowledge is unlocked by access to the unconscious mind – both individually and collectively.
Through „serious play”, participants access the psychological flow state, being fully immersed in their work, while driven by energized focus and enjoyment. They also gain more clarity on the subject of their explorations by using 3 of their 5 senses: auditory, visual and kinestetic.
Still a novelty on the Romanian market, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is a very mature hands-on, minds-on tool, with a proven track-record worldwide. For the last 15 years, organisations such as MIT Media Labs, IMD Business School, NASA, UNICEF or the World Bank have trusted LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® to solve complex problems.
