The German Autumn Festival 2016

The German Autumn Festival 2016 is about the promotion of the German culture to the general public through a broad public action and about the creation of a business platform for discussions and debates, meant to generate new investing opportunities in the region.
The event aims to demonstrate the optimal combination of culture and economy by:

• Encouraging cultural exchanges and increasing the visibility and awareness of Cluj-Napoca by establishing long-term contacts and trade relations between operators in northern Transylvania and those from the German speaking countries.
• Developing synergies between the cultural sector and entrepreneurship, strengthening business environment on the long term.
• Developing local cooperation, regional and international promotion of the German culture.

Main activities: In addition to economic debates and presentations of companies, various activities will be organized during the festival with various addressability, outdoors games, traditional German dances, German language courses, live concerts and tasting of traditional German cuisine. The Universities in Cluj will play an important role in organizing and hosting thematic conferences with the role of supporting the higher and vocational education, to provide new business opportunities, to meet the employment needs of investors, that are already present on the Cluj business market and those who follow to do business in this area. The DWNT club members will provide career counseling and career development, job offers, trainings and workshop projects. There will be also school and preschool activities for parents and children: face painting, juggling with fire, presentation of German shepherd dogs, comics exhibition and street parades.
